Barry Staldine

President and Chief Executive Officer

As president and chief executive officer, Barry provides strategic direction and oversight to the company’s growth objectives and administrative functions, while ensuring that claims operations continue to gain efficiencies and provide excellent service. With over 20 years of insurance industry experience, Barry is well suited to lead Fuzion’s efforts to transform the senior insurance industry. Previously, he served as chief operating officer and vice president of business management for Fuzion.

In his early tenure, as a vice president of global delivery for a large insurance company, Barry performed a turnaround of the captive India unit resulting in 300 percent growth within two years and was the systems leader for the conversion team. Barry was responsible for the enterprise project management office that delivered over 100 projects in two years. Prior to that, at Anthem he ran General Motors’ claims processing and customer service for Indiana and was a financial controller for the national accounts division. Additionally, he was the chief operating officer for a consulting company specializing in predictive health analytics. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Indiana University, a Master of Business Administration from Anderson University, earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in Indiana, and is a Master of Black Belt in 6 Sigma.

Duane L. Anderson

Chief Technology Officer

Duane brings a wide breadth of experience to the Fuzion leadership team. In the role of chief technology officer, he leads the company’s endeavors in the areas of software development, technical delivery, and infrastructure. Before joining Fuzion, Duane was the chief operating officer for Mindstream Interactive (previously the Marquette Group). He also held technology positions with Caesars Entertainment, A.T. Kearney and EDS. Duane is a Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders, a lifetime distinction, speaks frequently at IT conferences and universities, and has been profiled in multiple professional publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Computerworld. Duane holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Western Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

Ginger S. Darrough

Chief Analytics Officer

With over 20 years of experience in the insurance and finance industries, Ginger leads the data analytics team for Fuzion. She has served as senior vice president, and in other leadership roles, for various insurance companies, a financial company, and a technology company. As chief analytics officer, Ginger manages the actuarial functions and leads the company’s data analytics team for insight into the long-term care industry. Prior to Fuzion, Ginger served as vice president of statistical analysis for a small group health insurer, where she successfully led the development of an underwriting tool, marketing tool and an overpayment application. Ginger earned her master’s degree in business administration and holds an accounting degree from Indiana University.

Paul E. Lorentz

Chief Financial Officer

Paul oversees finance and planning for Fuzion, with over 25 years of experience in the financial management of life and health insurance companies. As chief financial officer of Fuzion, Paul oversees treasury operations, leads financial planning, and serves as the company’s chief risk officer. Paul has served in senior-level roles in the life and health insurance industry, most recently as chief financial officer of a privately held group health insurer. His background also includes public accounting and consulting. Paul holds an accounting degree from Indiana University and earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in Indiana.

Kristine Rickard

General Counsel

Kristine’s focus at Fuzion is on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, market conduct, and litigation issues. She comes to Fuzion from Protective Specialty Insurance Company where she served as the company’s vice president and underwriting counsel. Prior to that, she held roles as vice president of general liability claim management at Travelers and vice president and claims counsel at XL Insurance.

Throughout her career, she has developed and implemented claims best practices for the start-up professional liability claims division, oversaw third party claims administrators and ensured that the coverage counsel nationally complied with corporate litigation management guidelines. In addition, Kristine served as underwriting counsel to business units for interpretation and application of policy provisions. Kristine earned her undergraduate degree in communications from University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
