Fuzion was well represented at the 17th annual Intercompany Long Term Care Insurance (ILTCi) conference in Jacksonville, Florida. We participated again as a Diamond level sponsor and had several members of our leadership team and many associates in attendance. Jeff Ferrand, Fuzion’s chief fraud officer, organized and joined other industry leaders to host a breakout session entitled “Partnership between Analytics and LTC Operations: Tools & Rules to Improve Your Game.”
This year’s ILTCi conference keynote speaker was Anat Baron. Anat is an innovative leader and seasoned corporate executive. Her leadership has positively impacted brands such as Four Seasons, Holiday Inn, Radisson, and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. She also contributed her talent as a Hollywood executive and producer and used this experience to write, produce and directe Beer Wars, a feature-length documentary. Anat provided a fun learning environment for keynote attendees, forcing everyone to think about how fast so many things are changing, including topics such as technology, communication, and social media. She emphasized that individuals can contribute more fully to organizations and industries when they are willing to collaborate more broadly, while still drawing on the depth of their skillsets and experiences. Other hard hitting points included using data as the gateway to personalization and to work hard at taking the friction out of the customer experience.
The breakout sessions were a great way to stay current on industry challenges, trends, and solutions, and allows for great collaboration between industry players. The ILTCi conference organizes their breakout sessions in functional tracks, making it very easy for attendees to cover a wide-variety of topics or stay focused in their area of responsibility. It also makes it easy for companies such as Fuzion, that send several people to the conference, to cover a lot of different topics.
The conference wrapped up with a talk show style general session entitled “New President and Congress: Implications for Aging and LTC Finance.” Various agencies and policy groups were represented in this session to share their views and respond to questions about the current political landscape and its impact on long term care. As one can imagine, there were several interesting and pointed perspectives to share. Fuzion looks forward to its participation in the 18th annual Intercompany Long Term Care Insurance (ILTCi) conference which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada in mid-March 2018.
